Campus Attendance Is Not Required

Global Computers ImageStarting in Spring of 2001, De Anza’s Windows 2000 Professional courses will be offered as "Distant" Distance Learning courses. Students who live in other cities, states or even countries can complete our Windows 2000 courses for credit. Students complete our Windows 2000 Professional & Windows 2000 Server (when available) courses by completing the following steps:

  1. Register for courses at the De Anza College Home Page.
  2. Complete required course orientation online, (We recommend you come to a meeting on campus if possible).Video Tape
  3. Purchase Windows 2000 course video tapes and Course materials through the De Anza bookstore which provides Textbooks By Telephone service. The bookstore has a limited quantity of the course's videotapes for sale. Proof of enrollment must be provided when purchasing videotapes.  In the local San Francisco Bay Area, our Windows NT courses are broadcast on KCSM (channel 60) and many other cable channels which can be recorded on home VCR systems.
  4. Study the course materials at your convenience.
  5. Contact tutors and instructor through E-mail and utilize the course’s Listserv.
  6. Complete the on-line midterm and proctored final exam. For students who live beyond 100 miles from De Anza College, a proctored final exam must be established in the student's local area. Exam proctoring procedure details are listed in your syllabus.
